This text unveils a fundamental sustainability issue that is not covered by current governance processes, establishing that only a common unique goal, applied by all in a collective complex and coordinated process, can circumvent this critical issue. In the absence of this goal, our system becomes avoidably rapidly ever more brittle and causes risk realisations growing in significance over time, affecting, unhindered by any protective measures whatsoever, all groups in society and all regions, including our locations beyond Earth, eventually making the risk absolute. This work also describes the solution to this daunting issue.
